Mariami Abuladze's ArchivePrivacy
Last updated 27 October 2026
Mariami Abuladze's Archive is a free archive of past exams and notes, run by students of the Economy and Finance program at Sapienza. This page explains what we keep about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who is responsible
The site is run by a student volunteer under the name Mariami Archive, who is responsible for your data (the “data controller”). Write to mariamiarchive63@gmail.com for anything on this page. If you exercise your rights below, or a data protection authority asks, we'll give the full name of the person responsible.
What we keep
- Your account: the name, email address and profile picture link Google sends when you sign in, and your role on the site (student, contributor or admin).
- What you share: the files you upload, their details (course, title, date), the original file name, any note you add for reviewers, and which account uploaded them.
- Downloads: which file your account downloaded and when, for 30 days, to stop one account from downloading too much and to warn the people who downloaded a file later found to be harmful. We also keep monthly totals of uploads and downloads, without names.
- Last visit: when your account last opened the site, to the nearest 5 minutes. Each visit replaces the previous time, so there is no history of your visits. It lets admins see who uses the site and notice unusual accounts.
- Activity log: who uploaded, approved, rejected, edited or deleted a file, changed a course or a role, blocked a member or paused the site, and when, with the file's title, its fingerprint (SHA-256) and the details before and after an edit. It records no IP addresses.
- Blocked members: if an account is blocked for breaking the terms, its email, the reason, who blocked it and when, so the same person can't come back with a new account.
- Technical logs: the services below record IP addresses and browser details in short-lived logs to run the site and protect it from abuse.
We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we never sell or share your data for marketing.
Why
To run the archive you chose to join (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and, as a legitimate interest, to keep it safe, within its free storage limits, and to know who uploaded each file in case something inappropriate is shared (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who can see it
- Other students see your name next to files you shared, unless you chose not to show it. They never see your email.
- Contributors (students who review files) see who uploaded each file, including files shared without a name.
- Admins also see members' email addresses, when each member last visited, the activity log and who downloaded a file, to manage roles, handle abuse and answer requests.
Services we use
- Google for signing in, which hands you over to Sapienza's own login page.
- Supabase for accounts and the database, on servers in Paris.
- Vercel to run the website, with its server functions in Paris.
- Cloudflare to store the PDF files, in its Eastern Europe region.
These companies process data only on our behalf. Some are based in the United States; transfers there are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long
Your account, and the time of your last visit, are kept until you ask us to delete it. If you do, your name is removed from the files you shared; the files themselves stay in the archive without a name, unless you ask us to remove them too. Download records are kept for 30 days, the activity log for one year, records of blocked accounts until the block is lifted, and the services' technical logs for their own short periods.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we keep about you, correct it, delete your account, get a copy of it, or object to or limit how we use it. Write to mariamiarchive63@gmail.com from your institutional email; we answer within a month. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too. Important changes are announced on the site.
